Saw it last year in high definition on the 50 Years of The Godfather 1969-2019 signatures shirt it was so beautiful also included extra stills at the end we’d never seen. So happy it’s playing here in Canada too this weekend. I’m curious will there be new footage too. Recently we watched the tv saga wow how strange it was to see it chronologically but some enjoyable extra scenes were enjoyed. I was able to go to a screening yesterday. Nothing compares to seeing this epic film on the big screen. A wonderful job was done with restoration and conversion to digital. It retained the beauty that is captured through real film. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched The Godfather but I never grow tired of the story. Yesterday’s screening proved that this movie is timeless. It’s masterful! The tension, suspense, drama, and family connections are all there! Love Love Love!

Thank you for putting it back in theaters! 50 Years of The Godfather 1969-2019 signatures shirt. I rented it 20+ years ago when it came on two VHS tapes and thought then how awesome it would be to see on the big screen. That finally happened today, and it was indeed awesome. I did not read through all the comments so I don’t know if anybody mentioned it… ‘I mean no disrespect’, but no true Godfather fan can ‘not’ read the book… A big hardback copy that you can probably get on eBay for $5.00… It’s part of the experience, it’s a masterpiece, as good as the movies… It goes into a lot more backstory and detail. Took my boys to see it last night…first time even I saw it in the theatre ..of course, saw it so many times before.
