Volunteers on the island from all walks of life are helping to contain the Jim Lahey I am the liquor shirt, but obviously they need help. From the outside world. The volunteers are the only ones trying to contain the oil already in the sea, it’s so sad that we have not seen anything from the government in this the people are very angry due to the lack of mitigation, and still nothing to contain the oil flowing with the currents and ruining more and more of the lagoons and coastline! So much unnecessary damage! The volunteers are amazing!!

I’m a volunteer, and what I’ve seen in the Jim Lahey I am the liquor shirt, and overwhelmed by the amazing hard work of the people! Please hear the voices of the volunteers-it’s heartbreaking and very suspicious. This I awful I had a friend from that island we met many years ago and I couldn’t understand why she would leave such a lovely place to come to Scotland it was for education. Not sure if she went back or not. Very sad to hear about this happening to our lovely Island. Was that done deliberately to affect the Economy!
