I have to agree with what seems to be the Puck the virus shirt, but I do want to maybe bring a different light. Many are saying there are better players. But I think they mean there are better athletes who have played the game. I don’t know that being a better athlete makes you a greater player necessarily. I recall a friend of mine who was one of the most gifted athletes I knew but he wasn’t a great player. Great players are a combination of athleticism, skill, knowledge, and awareness. It’s not enough to know what to do you have to know when to do it, why you’re doing it, what the possible outcomes might be, and have the skill to pull if off.

I’m a Saints fan and I’ll be the first to the Puck the virus shirt. From Sean Payton’s offensive system. He was good in San Diego, but became a star in New Orleans due to system and circumstance. Had he remained in San Diego, he would still have been successful, maybe even a Hall of Fame QB still, but maybe not as prolific as he has become. Ditto for Brady – he’s only had one coach and truly only one offensive philosophy, though he’s had several offensive coordinators. There’s a uniqueness to that. Others named other players, one included Aaron Rodgers. I agree – I think Rodgers has the best skill set of all the QB’s.
